DRAKE FINALLY SIGNS FOR $4 MILLION!!

After months of speculation it has finally been revealed that Drake aka Aubrey Graham will sign with Lil Wayne’s Young Money!!

It was reported that Drake was offered $2 million from Atlantic Records but turned that down to figure out his options a little bit more and in the end the Toronto-born rapper officially signed to Young Money with distribution through Universal Republic for $4 million bucks!!

This summer he will be on tour with Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy and Soulja Boy as part of The Young Money Presents: Americas Most Wanted Music Festival - His debut album, Thank Me Later is slated for a late 2009 release!!

A JACKSON FAMILY TOUR?!

The siblings of Michael Jackson may be embarking on a series of tribute concerts celebrating the life of the late King of Pop!!

According to reports, Janet Jackson would headline the tour and her brothers would open. The proposed tour would feature the family performing their brother’s songs on a tour of North American and at some of Michael’s sold-out London shows.

I would def. go if this is true!!

American Idol's Carly Smithson is joining the original guys of Evanescence, who are re-launching as a new hard-rock band called, The Fallen - The new group plans to tour in September and will release its songs in small doses every few months before they release their first album!!

Natalie Mejia from Girlicious just did a new interview where she speaks about the future of Girlicious, why Tiffanie left, and about those rumours on Chris Brown and her,

"There are 3 girls in the group. It's kinda like a TLC or a Destiny's Child. We're really excited to move forward and to get some new material out there. We're really excited. I wish Tiff the best. She's definitely talented and a smart and intelligent girl. I know we're gonna see each other at the top so it's all good."

As for their new album,

"We're taking a whole new direction musically. It's gonna be like very high energy dance music and it's gonna be awesome. I'm listening to lots of house music lately, I love it. This album we're doing a lot of writing on to, so it'll be like the diary to our lives. The new album will be released in America. Our goal is to release it in Canada first and get an amazing single. We don't have a title yet though, we haven't even started recording new material. We're really huge in Canada, we're there a lot and our show is re-run [there] over and over again."

And this is what she had to say about Chris Brown,

"Chris and I are friends and we just happened to hang out and stuff... you know. I would love to work with Chris, he's a great writer. I heard some of his up & coming stuff, he wrote a song for Britney, some Katy Perry stuff. We might do something, [might] have it in the works hopefully with our new album."

Haha I think I'll just stick to The Pussycat Dolls for now!!

After driving for three hours to the University of California’s Santa Barbara campus to meet/watch rapper Asher Roth, Lindsay Lohan got rejected by him!! The New York Daily News says,

“Lindsay was buging both Asher and his management team to get onstage during ‘She Don’t Want a Man,’ but Asher was so annoyed by her requests that he actually skipped performing the single.”

Lindsay later took to her Twitter account to vent,

“Wow. Asher was cocky to all my friends and not that nice.”

ELTON JOHN & BILLY JOEL COME FACE 2 FACE IN TORONTO!!

Two of the greatest musicians alive, Elton John and Billy Joel performed an amazing concert in Toronto last night as a part of their current Face 2 Face 2009 Tour - According to ZackTaylor.ca reader at the show,

"Watching the both of them on stage together brought back so many memories... It was one of the best shows I've ever been to. You could just feel the passion!!"
