Simon Cowell made around $39 million on American Idol last season... And this year he may just make somewhere near THREE TIMES as much!!
According to reports, Cowell is being offered between $100 million and $144 million per year by co-producers FOX and 19 Entertainment to stay with Idol once his contract expires next May.

According to Gene Simmons, American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert has ruined his career by coming out,
"He killed his career because now the conversation is not about his talent but about his sexual preference. He's done. I hope I'm completely wrong. I hope he becomes the next Beatles and proves me wrong. Adam was fantastic. What a powerful and attractive man he is. He can come on tour whenever he’d like."

Well, it was just found out that the father of American Idol runner-up David Archuleta was charged for allegedly soliciting a prostitute back on January 14th in Midvale, Utah. According to reports, David's 47-year-old father, James Jeffrey Archuleta was cited with a Class B misdemeanor, soliciting prostitution and was fined $582 - He pled no contest to the incident and is trying and put it behind him.
So I ask you again... Do you know where YOUR father is?!
American Idol alumni Bo Bice's wife, Caroline is knocked-up again (she already has two other kids with Bo) - Congrats to the happy couple!!
According to The New York Times, American Idol winner Kris Allen may have had some help winning the show thanks to corporate sponsor AT&T!!
AT&T provided free phones for text messaging at two finale parties supporting Kris Allen in Arkansas - The phone company even showed guests how to "power text," which allows one to text 10 votes at the touch of a button which violates the show's rules.
What makes matters worse is that AT&T didn't provide any free texting services to Adam Lambert's fans!!

UPDATE: FOX and 19 Entertainment/FremantleMedia released a statement today saying Kris is indeed the winner:
“Fox and the producers of 'American Idol' are absolutely certain that the results of this competition are fair, accurate and verified. Kris Allen is, without a doubt, the American Idol. We have an independent third-party monitoring procedure in place to ensure the integrity of the voting process. In no way did any individuals unfairly influence the outcome of the competition.”
Also, AT&T released this statement today:
“Last week, countless parties were held in homes, bars, and other public places across America to watch the 'American Idol' finale. In Arkansas, a few local AT&T employees were invited to attend two local watch parties organized by the community. Caught up in the enthusiasm of rooting for their hometown contestant, they brought a small number of demo phones with them and provided texting tutorials to those who were interested. Going forward, we will make sure our employees understand our sponsorship celebrates the competition, not individual contestants. That said, it’s quite a leap to suggest that a few individuals could have impacted the final results.”
American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert's performance with Queen on the finale a few days ago has many people (including the band itself) thinking about making him the new lead singer!! Queen guitarist Brian May says,
"Amongst all that furor, there wasn't really a quiet moment to talk, but Roger Taylor and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with him at some point. It's not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn't that easy. But I'd certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there!"
That would be amazing if Adam DID join-up with the band - He def. reminds me of Freddie Mercury, and I feel he's much better than Paul Rodgers!!

Right before the American Idol results came in, Simon Cowell (who was cheering for Adam Lambert all season) changed his mind LAST MINUTE and said that Kris Allen would win.
An hour later Kris won, thus shocking everyone!!
Did Simon know the results beforehand since he LOVES to always be right??

After attending the American Idol show last night, Simon's ex, Terri Seymour, was attacked outside the Nokia Theatre - The suspect, Janice Thibodeaux, asked Terri if she was Simon's girlfriend and allegedly began to choke her!!
She has been charged will felony battery and is being held on $52,700 bail - WOW... Can you say CRAZYYYYYY?!

On yesterday's episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, American Idol judge Simon Cowell said that he thinks Adam Lambert will win this season!! He told Oprah,
"My money is on Lambert because the contestant is fearless, unique and he's got swagger."
I have to agree - If he doesn't win, it'll be one of the biggest upsets ever!!
My favourite American Idol from this season, Adam Lambert was spotted earlier today singing at Mt. Carmel High School in his hometown when a girl rushed the stage and took her shirt off!!

In a taping for the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Simon Cowell told Ellen that, despite reports and the fact that she only admitted to staying one season, Kara DioGuardi is going to be back on the show after all next season - The only judge not to re-sign a contract is Paula Abdul!!

Let the American Idol drama continue... It looks like A.I. judge, Kara DioGuardi is just sticking around for this ONE season. She told reporters last night,
"I’m only here for one season. That’s what we’ve discussed. So we’ll see what happens."
Everyone thought the reason Kara was brought onto A.I. was so that Paula Abdul could exit the show after this season, but according to Simon Cowell, if Paula leaves so does he...
"The only say I have is about Ryan, Randy and Paula… I’ve always made it clear that I wouldn’t like to do the show without them. So that’s all I’m really concerned about."
Looks like FOX has some issues to work out with everyone - I wonder what Randy thinks?!

Just like the rest of the world, Audrina Patridge is voting for Adam Lambert on American Idol. The Hill's star posted this message on her blog earlier today,
"Hey guys! For those of you avid American Idol fans, I just wanted to remind you guys to tune in tonight to vote at 9pm on Fox! One of the contestants, Adam Lambert is a close friend of mine and he's one of the most talented and sincere people I know - he definitely has my vote :)"
