STEPHEN COLBERT IS A SPIDER!!

Stephen Colbert inspired a Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavour last year and now a new species of spider will be named after him!! East Carolina University associate professor, Jason Bond has offered to name one of 27 new species of trapdoor spider after the late night host...

The biologist recently named one for legendary Canadian rocker Neil Young, Myrmekiaphila neilyoungi... After this happened Colbert said on his show, "Where's my spider?? I have lots of animals named after me: turtles, eagles, Ontario Junior League hockey mascots. The world demands an eight-legged tribute to Stephen Colbert and I do not mean another barbershop quartet."

Bond then told Colbert he could choose one of 27 trapdoor spiders and his choice will be named, Aptostichus stephencolberti... All I wanna know is: WHEN ARE YOU GONNA NAME ONE AFTER ME!!
