Jiri Tlusty, the 19 year old Toronto Maple Leaf winger, can make history if he wants to...
...if he actually "comes out" he will be the first Toronto Maple Leaf who's active in the lineup to do so. We are trying right now to reach him for comments on what these pictures are all about... stay tuned!!

i think that is the coolest thing to ever happen

while there seem to be more closeted gay hockey players than in any other sport, all i see here are a couple of late teen guys just fuckin' around (as guys that age are wont to do) as opposed to fucking.
while he's hot and it'd be nice to think he's one of us, what i'm seeing here doesn't really support that conclusion. Need to keep our projection/wish fulfillment in 'check' =)

Just wanna add that one of the downsides of gay rights is that straight male friends can't engage in displays of affection without having people draw the wrong conclusion. must be pretty isolating for them. also throws a wrench into friendships: 'i hugged my buddy. does he think i'm queer?'

One picture proves nothing, either way.
And what difference does it make whether he's gay or not so long as he can play good hockey?
Posted by: bill | November 13, 2007 at 04:24 PM
wow! How brutal can you guys get? Just because he is having some fun with a friend he is gay? Get a life whoever you are....even if he was gay...is that crime? How feeble. How ignorant. How plain stupid. Get a life.

I think the press is making far too much out of these pics. This guy is young and pour on a little alcohol and that's far better than some pics guys will take. The photo's of him with the other guy, they just look like 2 good friends who joke around. Geez give the guy a break, these photos should not even have been made public, that B_ _ _CH should be ashamed of herself. Anything for a buck I guess, forget what you to do the guys image and family.

OH MY GOD... who cares?!
Posted by: Bailey | November 15, 2007 at 09:31 AM
What the hell! I have done way more then that with my female friends and I am gay! I mean why can't guys touch each other and play around without being labelled? I think that is homophobia.
Posted by: mark | November 15, 2007 at 01:46 PM
Who cares what he does. What he does in his private life is his own buisness. What matters is how he plays hockey. It's unfortunate that people label you as gay or bi because you are playing playing around. people should lighten up.

Is it really news that guys involved in sports do stupid things? What about drunk guys in sports doing really, really stupid things?
AND THAT'S ALL THE PICTURE PROVES
oh yeah...I read somewhere that in the 60's NHL HOCKEY player team mates used to dress up in drag and get drunk. Are they all gay? Maybe 1 or 2 was gay, like every part of society.
YOU and your society allows SPORTS JOCKS to almost stroke each other's co*ks in public, while playing sports, and then behave like hysterical drag queens when they see pictures like those of their behind the sports SOCIALIZING AND real life. GET A LIFE AND DEAL WITH IT YOU DRAG QUEENS!

Homophobia is a range of negative attitudes and feelings towards homosexuality and people identified or perceived as being homosexual. Definitions refer variably to antipathy, contempt, prejudice, aversion, and irrational fear. Homophobia is observable in critical and hostile behavior such as discrimination and violence on the basis of a non-heterosexual orientation. In a 1998 address, author, activist, and civil rights leader Coretta Scott King stated that "Homophobia is like racism and anti-Semitism and other forms of bigotry in that it seeks to dehumanize a large group of people, to deny their humanity, their dignity and personhood.

I found out from Mom that you can see the search words on Google that people use to lead them to this blog. She tried to hide some of the words from me, but there they were: "Ugly, fat, cat." And those heartless words, typed into Google Images, directed them to my pictures in my flowered hat. That's way harsh, man. Hissssss! A pox on your house! I like my flowered hat and think I look rather fetching in it. And the other cats displayed under those scurrilous words were pretty too.

I think there is nothing wrong with his picture and it do not even matter if he goes out as long as he can give the best hits in the events.
